Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Glide collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Glide swim and training social app (Discover live rooms, Circle posts, messaging, coins, and gifts), including when Glide is distributed in multiple App Store countries.
1. Information We Collect
- Account data: email; password handled by our auth provider; Sign in with Apple identifiers when you choose Apple.
- Profile data: display name, handle, bio, avatar image.
- Content & media: Circle posts, live covers/videos you upload or view metadata related to streams, chat media, comments, and similar UGC.
- Usage & device: app interactions, approximate diagnostics, device type, OS version, and crash logs needed for reliability.
- Purchase data: coin purchase receipts processed via Apple; we store resulting coin balance and related transaction records.
- Communications: messages in DMs or live rooms, and emails you send to support.
2. How We Use Information
- Create and secure your account
- Operate Discover, Circle, Message, Mine, live rooms, gifts, coins, follows, likes, blocks, and reports
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations
- Comply with law and respond to lawful requests
- Improve performance and fix bugs
3. Storage (Supabase)
Glide stores account, profile, posts, channels, messages, and action records on Supabase (Auth, Database, Storage, Realtime). Media files are stored in our Glide media bucket (glide-medio) under user-scoped paths where applicable. Access is protected by authentication and row-level security policies.
4. Sharing with Third Parties
We share data only as needed with:
- Supabase — backend hosting
- Apple — Sign in with Apple and In-App Purchases
- Service providers who help operate Glide under confidentiality obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Permissions
Photo Library: used when you choose an avatar or attach images/videos to posts. We only access items you select. We do not request camera or microphone access unless a future feature needs them and asks in-context with a clear purpose.
6. Retention
We keep account and content data while your account is active. After you delete your account, we remove or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except records we must retain for legal, security, or accounting reasons (for example coin ledgers or abuse reports).
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location (including regions where Glide is listed on the App Store), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update profile info in-app, clear cache, block users, and request account deletion in Settings. For other requests, email trantrongdai926@icloud.com.
8. Children
Glide is not directed to children under the minimum age required by local law. If we learn we collected data from a child without proper consent, we will delete it.
9. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards (TLS, authenticated APIs, access controls). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
10. International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries where our providers operate. We take steps designed to protect data in line with this Policy when Glide is used across multiple countries.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, provide additional notice in the app.
